Ed the World Famous' (or EWF) radio career started at WAMF (WANM), which is FAMUs campus radio station. He held the position of on air personality and production director.
It was during the 1998 Black College Radio, that EWF heard Radio Ones brand new Hot 97-5, and got bit by the radio bug.
After years WAMF doing a variety of different shifts, he was recruited by the ..1 station in the Tallahassee market, WHBX to do swing shifts, and whatever was asked of him. He worked in promotions, production, and even filled in as a temporary music director at one point.
His love for radio then took him to Cincinnati Ohio, where he worked at WIZF as swing and mixer and WDBZ, producing the Tom Joyner Morning show. After the shock of 9-11, he decided that he wanted to be closer to home. He took the afternoon shift at WFXE Columbus, GA. And as fate would have it, in the fall of 2002, WHBX-Tallahassee wanted him back to do afternoons.
After handling afternoons on WHBX, EWF was placed in charge of the new hip hop and r&b station in Tallahassee, Blazin 102-3. The station was successful enought to make their direct competition change formats!
EWF resides in Miami, but travels all over the Southeast, DJing and hosting parties. He's also the host and producer for World Famous Radio.
Ed is a part of the Core DJs, The Marching 100 Alumni Organization, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity. In his spare time his is spending time with family, traveling, sports and movies. Holla at EWF at worldfamousradio@gmail.com
